You get to choose from two available engines for the 2019 Ram 2500. Each one is hard-working and capable, with their own set of advantages.
If you want to use gasoline, the 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 is a solid choice. Thanks to variable-cam timing, this engine produces a stout 410 horsepower. This engine works with an eight-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth operation not normally associated with heavy-duty trucks.
Even more capable is the 6.7-liter Cummins turbo diesel inline 6-cylinder engine. It produces a mighty 850 lb.-ft. of torque. Thanks to design updates, this engine is more responsive. A six-speed automatic transmission has been optimized for use with the diesel engine, reducing noise, vibration, and harshness.
Just like you’d expect with a heavy-duty pickup, the Ram 2500 features a solid construction and all the right equipment to make even the biggest jobs manageable. This is a vehicle you can rely on day after day.
Ram re-engineered the frame, so it now uses 98.5 percent high-strength steel as well as lightweight aluminum. While that adds plenty of rigidity and strength to the structure, this composition sheds up to 40 pounds of weight as well.
An auto-level rear air suspension is tough enough to handle big loads, plus it boosts performance. By automatically adjusting as weight is placed on the rear portion of the truck or the road camber changes, you enjoy predictable handling and braking.
Even the hardware for the optional Fifth-Wheel/Gooseneck Prep Package has been upgraded for 2019. That means a better structure member for the rear axle plus the mounting hardware, resulting in better towing performance.
At the end of the day, what matters most is a truck’s capabilities. You need it to tow, haul, and even traverse rugged terrain without problems. The Ram 2500 delivers in a big way for these categories.
When properly configured, the Ram 2500 can handle up to 4,050 pounds** in the payload. That’s enough to cover pretty much any hauling job. When it comes to towing, the truck has ability to handle up to 19,780 pounds*.
If you want to leave roads behind and hit trails, the most off-road capable version of the Ram 2500 is the Power Wagon. It comes with a completely new Warn Zeon-12 winch in the front bumper, which has been designed to be more lightweight. Bilstein gas-charged shocks smooth out the ride quality and help prevent wheel bounce. Front and rear locking differentials plus an electronic disconnecting front sway bar help with the going gets especially tough.
You’ll be shocked when you learn about the 2019 Ram 2500 price, which is quite reasonable. Take the 2019 Ram 2500 for a test drive by contacting Blake Fulenwider Ram Chrysler Dodge Jeep today.
